Have you ever been on a diet where you’re told what to do, but not why?
There are many reasons why diets don’t work but not understanding or being provided with the principles behind it is key. You’re left at the end of the diet period on your own without anyone making your meals anymore, probably not losing much weight and feeling miserable because you don’t really understand how you’re supposed to move forward.
One of my clients recently told me that the difference with AstonRX is that most programs just give you a fish, but we teach you how to fish as well. It’s a big difference because it ensures permanent change.
But the other thing that makes us unique is the blood test every new member takes. Being overweight or obese is just a symptom of metabolic disfunction so you can put a band aid on that by dieting like crazy for a while or you can fix the problem at the source. That’s where the blood test comes in because it gives us an insight into the root cause of the disfunction and the result is rapid weight loss.
Metabolic disfunction is an umbrella term for high insulin and insulin resistance which cascades into a range of problems, namely the highly dangerous visceral abdominal fat which is turn brings high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and an inability to lose weight.
When we show people their blood test results and they see it there in black and white, their awareness begins. It’s proof there’s a problem beyond what they see in the mirror or on the scales. Then, they understand the real problem they’re addressing, not blindly heading into some crazy way of eating which will likely do more harm than good.
They can also stop blaming themselves for a lack of willpower or discipline because they can see there’s a biological reason for their symptoms.
If you fix the biology, the behaviour will follow. Every time. If you don’t fix the biology, it’s like being in a bath of water and leaving the tap on while the bath overflows and trying to empty the water with a bucket. I want to just turn off the tap and fix the problem at the source.
And that comes back to insulin. It’s at the heart of it and it’s always our starting point, our measure, and the way we can guide you towards correcting your metabolic health once and for all.
